Welcome to the first annual Neelix awards! For the first anniversary of Voyager Talent Night, I wanted to recognize the wonderfully talented writers who have entered my contests during this first crazy year. Also I wanted to share the best stories with my fellow readers.

The Neelix awards are a little different than most fanfic contests. Instead of the writers entering a story that fits a particular theme, the first and second place stories from each contest were nominees for the 2003 Neelix awards. There were twenty-four nominees total. Readers voted for their favorite nominee in each category. There were six categories to vote in: Romantic, Angsty, Endgame, Fluff, Adventure, and Best Of Show.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to read and vote in the contests this year. And a very big thank you to all of the writers who entered! I'll do my best to continue having interesting and exciting contests!
